Blue nx = Funkykebab aka Matt
White nx = L61 KVO aka Nigel

Well it started off with me being late due to still hoovering the rubbish out of my car, I got there and Craig was already there, so while we waited for the others, we decided to grab a mcds and have a game of pool, then Matt and Nigel turned up, so went back to mcds for them.
Time then for a good chin-wag, take some photos, then set out to cruise to Brighton, with Matt going first (due to his minimum speed), then Nigel, then myself, and Craig last. The cruise was good no one got lost, and when we got seperated, the people in front pulled over for us, the nearer we got to Brighton, Craig overtook us all and lead the way to a carpark. We then walked while chatting to the Brighton pier (the one that was still there!), had a drink and myself and Matt went on a ride, I think the other's were worried there mcds would visit...
We then walked back to the cars and drove near to the sea front - to take some pictures. Afterwards said our goodbyes, and myself, Nigel and Matt cruised back for a while while Craig went another way.
All in all a good meet, there was only 4 of us but we did have a good laugh! Thank you to everyone who came,
cheers, Jane

Well too many to mention

What can I say .. A Weekend of Japanese motors all shined up to the last and a friendly atmostphere .. Well that is JAE and when one of the Senior Organisers was asked what makes JAE Special all she could think of was THE WEATHER as she watched a gazeebo fly by..
Now take it from me Tornados are not the norm for JAE but it certainly showed me what the club was all about. The ole gazeeboThe ole gazeebo Probably the Big event of the weekend was the storm that kicked in on saturday afternoon.
Thanks to all that attended for the way all pitched in and got the club stand looking and acting like as if nothing happened.. no tents / gazeebo went off to see the wizard and toto was still based firmly on land.. I mention the Wizard of OZ mainly becaused the whole experience could only be described as such..
So what of the club and the Stand .. well as per usual Di Jan and Re were hard at it with some help from a few others to keep us all fed .. but thankfully this year we had some volunteers at teh barbe and food was superb many many thanks to all.. Drink flowed nearly as fast as the rain on the saturday and with the majority of members staying for the whole of the weekend I have to admit it was a total success and Thumbs up to all who contributed their time and efforts into making it what it was for all..
Even those that lost tents suddenly found tents or alternative accomodation and thankfully over all there was minimal injuries considering the extent fo damage that was caused out side of the grounds.
So I hear you asking what happened .. well Friday night was when most turned up and with Gazeebo erected and tents pinned down it was down to catching up with ole friends and meeting new ones .. Saturday was meant to be the day for voting for the Club awards but as we were rudely interupted by the storm this was adjourned until Sunday Mornign.. where instead of the usual anonymous approach of last year this year it was Group Voting. This did prove to be more successful and was excellent to have all members attending for the prize giving.. Congradulations Go to Kishada for being outright winner.. Certainly something for us all to aim for next year.
While Saturday was mostly spent with members doing some polishing .. meeting up with other members who just poped in to say hello and of course The Storm .. Saturday night was Superb with the excellent Firework display and of course Dannib's Neon christening of the New Club Gazeebo. All Lined up again many many thanks for this ..
Most of the time I know when to complete the write up for JAE or any meet where I do the write up but JAE really impressed me .. The organisors the Clubs and of course our own Club it just was fantastic to see that in advarsity we all chipped in as did many other clubs and matched the occasion. So as in typical oscar speech I would like to thank all those that not alone turned up but patricipated in JAE 06 all I can say is Bring on 07.
There are further pictures in the Club Album and also in the Relevant JAE thread.
Next JAE :- July 2007 see you there

Well the meet started off when James and I cruised from havent to Chichester Gates (where we meet), the sun was beating down very nicely and we enjoyed some roof off action. Anyway while we waited for the others we caught a quick bite at mcdonalds and chatted a bit, where we were interupted by Matt and Andy.
5 minutes later Nigel pops along, naturally we all chat, and go for some more Mcds. We all then decided to get some fresh air and pay a quick visit to Goodwood. There we took some photos, tried to fix my horn, (andy did a handbrake turn!) while enjoy the cool breeze. After this we moved on to the pub and to have a nice cool drink, so we cruised to Bognor Regis for this, and sat outside in the excellent weather, more chat! We then cruised to bognor coast and played Crazy golf.. we then said our goodbyes and set off in different directions, all in all a great meet, good weather, and thank you everyone who came. Do hope all made it safely home..

Well, May 12th brought us to the beginning of the 3rd Irish NX meet. Held in Sligo / Leitrim and hosted by Paulie and Suzanne, the weekend was sure to be one to remember. First to hit the streets of Sligo was Pete and Steve, hailing from Scotland and England and after a quick whip up of some grub in Paulie's house they were ready to tackle 1 or 2 beers...! and a night full of NX chat. Later that evening Eoin, Rita and the 2 boys Patrick and Thomas, lead the convoy of Irish NX's to the meeting point in Sligo. We had Robbie from Dublin is his very clean looking blue NX, and Colin and Catherine in their nicely kitted red NX. Needless to say when the full group was together, the beer started to flow and chat along with it. Steve's story, titled "I can't, I got the Flu!" cracked us all up!!!
The next morning was an early start for us all as Paulie had booked a session of Clay Pigeon Shooting for us. Paulie's method of finding the shooting place was, "I don't know where I'm going... But I'll ask for directions along the way"! which seemed to work. He only had to ask 3 different people.. What an activity to do though. The clay pigeon shooting was excellent and really enjoyed by everyone. Poor Zoom and SteveGB were looking the worst for wear after the night on the beer, so didn't over exert themselves for this activity. Loud bang's and sore heads don't mix ;)
After that, we went for a spot of lunch and ended up with some great photo opportunities with all the NX's lined up side by side, and these can be seen in the photo gallery. We were getting plenty of looks from people while driving around Sligo, and even caught the attention of a police man on a motorbike who waved at us. (I wonder was he waving at us to Stop???) That evening brought us back to Paulie's house in Leitrim, where the car tools came out. A clutch cable was replaced in Zoom and Angels car, timing and window fixed on Robbie's, EGR pipe removed from Paulies engine and a load more tinkering with that.
the mask in action BBQ time!!! Sitting round the back of Paulie's house, beautiful evening, Good food, plenty of beer, lots of laughs, neighbors joining in, "fat frogs" flowing, fire blazing, masks being made (Colin!). It really doesn't get much better than that. Ha ha.. the pictures in the Gallery will give you an idea of what it was like.
Sunday arrived all too soon, and it was time to think about getting back to the normal way of life. But not before Paulie's dad (Desire) arrived out to see us in his white NX, and it's very clean. Once we were ready to hit the road, Paulie led the convoy back to Sligo but not before stopping of and some of the beautiful scenery in County Leitrim. We stopped off at Parkes Castle and got some excellent photos of the NX's lined up with the lovely Lough Gill and mountains in the background. Fairwell's were made after that and we all headed off in our separate directions home. I have to say, this has been an excellent meet and really enjoyed by all. It was really great meeting you guys and I'm looking forward to hosting another Irish meet soon! PaulieM and Suzanne.

Next meet Date not set , possibly Southern Ireland

Meeting point - St. Nicholas Gate, Carlisle, midday.
Well, the weather was pretty much going through its whole repertoire for Saturday afternoon rain , hail and snow showers, windy, and the occasional spell of sun! I think on more than one occasion, one of the Burger King drive-thru picture boards threatened (or maybe did before I arrived, Danny/Steve?!) launch itself across the car park. Having had a catch up, and another talk on Danny's oil loss problems, we checked out the exhaust gasses from a cold start and unfortunately confirmed the worst; oil burning. The last thing you'd expect from a 70K mile FI engine. Hope the repair paste works its magic Danny.
With Tom unfortunately getting pulled in to work, we took Steve's kind offer of a cuppa over at his gaff, as feared, I want to move in to his garage, lol. A stop by Tesco on the way out of Carlisle for camping supplies, we then motored down to Penrith to meet Tom. Danny departed as we did from Penrith, to head back to the other side of the country. Hope you had a good return journey. A quick fuel stop then off in to the wilderness, the B5305 to Wigton, then the B5302 to Silloth. Good long undulating straights, a fantastic 180R Huge Tree lined corner, and plenty of tighter corners to test the brakes. When we got to the campsite, we had trouble finding anyone!
When we did find the owner, we ended up on a trek around the campsite to view prospective pitch areas. He couldn't quite get his head around the fact that we wanted to camp in April, lol. We ended up pitching in the grass bowl in the middle of the site, right by the necessary amenities. A quick tour of Silloth, correction, it turned in to walking/driving back and forth between the Spar and the Co-op until the necessary 'after BBQ' fuels were acquired, lol, then back to fire in to the bbq + beers in earnest. I think we should be mooing or oinking after the volume of meat we consumed, although as it transpires some of the sausages could have been a little pink! We absolutely won the lottery on the weather; clear, dry and calm all night given the extreme weather witnessed across the country earlier in the day. 5Kg of charcoal, some kindling and half a can of brake cleaner (necessary to get the thing going!) saw us through the evening with heat that melted aluminium bbq trays and soles of shoes alike! Was near freezing by the time we called it a night in the early hours, then the torture of the Cockerels from daybreak on

Sunday - Steve, Pete, Tom, Leon + Aidan

100NXs Line Up No hanging around Sunday morning. Up by 9am, and off to the Sunday market for breakfast. With Leon and Aidan's (apologies if it's Aiden) arrival, a quick hello then off to the beach for some pics. The destination was set as Maryport to check out the karting, so off down the B5300 we went. Great road, just damn busy with traffic. No meet is complete without a group of cars looking thoroughly lost in the back of beyond, and we were there in Maryport in spades, lol. Karting circuit (indoor) looked pretty good! But all booked out unfortunately, and on a completely different note, we spotted a stock red K-Plate NX, I think it was K--- DAD, likely A595? Sunday 1-2pm. I braved the roof off on the journey from Maryport to Carlisle and enjoyed sun all the way, until we were 2mins from the multi-storey in Carlisle. Hello hail shower!! Weird weird weather this time of year. A trek 'round Carlisle centre with a sit-down for some necessary caffeine (twas sunny again) then back up to St Nicholas Park where we started on Saturday. That was pretty strange having fit so much in to 24hrs one of those situations where it feels like at least 48 since you were last there. After some sustenance it was time to head our separate ways, so until next time and for god sake, no more Cockerels.

Well the meet went good, considering was my first time to organise a meet, only 3 of us turned up to begin with, so while we waited for the others we went to catch a Mcds. We then went to play some pool everyone beat me and then nigel turned up and we went bowling, nigel won, matt then turned up so we went for a nice cruise to Goodwood.
This time around no one got lost which was good and we got some nice photos, tom then had to leave (long drive homeward bound) so myself, craig, nigel and matt cruised to a local pub where we talked, had a drink and played some more pool. After that we cruised to a large local carpark where we tested out Driving Skills (had my first handbrake turn). We then cruised to another carpark and completed some more driving skills. After which we examined each other's lights and engines etc, afterwhich we then drifted off into the sunset. all in all a great meet, nice to meet some new faces etc .

and a good collection of good friends Kids and lets not forget the 3 dogs

This was our First weekend meet outside of JAE and while not a car show we certainly did our best in educating the masses. The weekend started on the Friday night with petes arrival. Naturally I was late but soon made up for it with an invite from some mates to join for a Few games of pool and a tipple or 3. After-which we emigrated to my local where Re arrived later on in the night, needless to say we had a few and the following morning heads were a wee bit weak when the call from Pauliem arrived. After 4 hours of driving all Paulie wanted to do was get the nearly recovered kishada out to look at the car and check the timing etc.. His Da Des had more sense and relaxed after their cold foggy drive down. As heads subsided and vision came to reality We hit out on our Cruise.. Firstly was the Traditional Cruise around town, not since the days Nissan sold the 100nx were so many seen at once (come to think of I dont think our local Nissan Stored as many ),Venturing out of town we traversed the Glorious Vee Stopping at pettycoats loose and then onto Picturesque Lismore for some Grub and a quick breather before the race back to Karting. MySelf and Des took the less travelled route while Angel Kish and Paulie Cruised along the more Traveled roads.
As Night Drew on and with Sore backs, Torn arms We withdrew to my homestead Where even pete remained awake longer than JAE .. granted this was in no small way to Angels Fantastic Bar-be and Superb Fat-Frogs, Paulies Video of the day along with a few from my own collection winded the night away nicely.. A word of thanks to St Lomans Bed and Breakfast, for putting the lads up and I hope all Enjoyed the Second Irish Meet and the Inaugural 100nxc Birthday Bash.
Nearly Forgot to sum up the weekend imagine Clear Skys Roaring Fire indoors and Frozen NX's and their drivers all hovering over the bar-be and that sums up the loonacy of the meet .. I know I am definately looking forward to Sligo, Sand Surf and Yeats .. what more could you ask for ..

Next meet May 06, Sligo Region

Northern Meet 2006 Evening and all NX'd out

Andy

Well, I hope everyone had a great day. Personally speaking, the roads through the Pennines are some of the best I've driven in this country to date, and in thick fog...all the more challenging! Appleby provided a great meeting base to bring the group number up to 4 cars, and a local cafe managed to produce the required goods to keep us all in good fettle!
So, with the target time of 11am at Hury Reservoir, I think we all individually managed to negotiate the maze of roads very well to arrive close to that time in Romaldkirk (Tom + Andy / Danny / Pete). Danny had arrived first and had scouted out the roads up to the reservoir, so he led us up for a look at a suitably brisk pace, in his very clean looking Light Meta Blue model. There was a reminder of which season we were still in when we found a small water holding pool right in front of the car park frozen over! No-one managed to break the ice, but the noises running through the huge sheet were quite eerie!
Whilst there, we arranged to meet Steve in Appleby, so a trip back over the Pennines was on! Up the B6281 towards Middelton-in -Teesdale, then the serious stuff, the B6276 all the way down to Brough to join the A66. Fog a plenty made for a few lock-ups and slides through the corners with the driving becoming a challenge of nerve vs visibility (vs falling off a sheer cliff!). I wish we'd managed to get a pic of the Tank signs on the A66 between Brough + Appleby (just by Warcop) where it seems there's an Army training facility that necessitates tanks crossing the road!
Hats off to you Steve for making the journey down given the shift you'd just pulled at work! We based ourselves in the village car park to meet, then walked in to town in search of some sustinence :) A local cafe serving a selection of pastries and a stiff brew was the eatery of choice, after which we went for a walk/smoke through to the other end of town to explore and digest. As we were talking between us, we almost walked out of town without realising, lol. "Blink and you'll miss it"! So back to the pub for a pint. We'd managed to miss-time the parking tickets spectacularly and the rugby was just kicking off as we had to leave! So back to the carpark for a chat and perusal of each others pride + joy :) and a departure just before dusk so we could navigate out of town and on to the roads home.

April 8, camping and drinking, hic!
