When I first started researching the NX I too thought the name 'Pacific' related only to the Cobalt Blue NX. Wrong! My red N reg is registered as a 'Pacific'.
As far as I can see the designation 'Pacific' has no meaning whatsoever. Nothing different about them at all. I think it appeared when it was planned to discontinue the NX perhaps, to encourage a few more sales.
All that said some Cobalt Blue NXs have a 'Pacific' script badge on both doors just beneath the mirrors and one on the back to the right. I have never seen or heard of these badges on other colours. Are you saying this black NX had 'Pacific' badges on it too?
Can other NXers shed any light on this? Were all 'Pacifics' N reg?

my Red N reg NX is registered as a pacific, as is jays J reg which is white, like you say seems to have no relevance, would have made more sense to put "atlantic" as the pacific is a fair distance away lol

Well that is the first non Cobalt Blue NX having the Pacific badges that I've ever heard of. I suspect these badges were added in the UK as it seems the Pacific designation was very much a UK thing.

There's this dark blue NX on eBay with the Pacific scripting on each door.

There's seems to be no hard and fast rule on this. The ones I'm seen (in cobalt blue) have the scripting on the rear too. This one has a coach line along it too.

On the subject of Pacifics, I have a Blue one (N reg) going for spares or project. It was my son's and but was written off as a cat C and bought it back from the insurance company for the salvage value because it was an excellent runner (83k - 2 owners from new). We had a new wing , front bumper, bonnett, indicator and fog lamp fitted and intended to get it back on the road but when it was taken for an MOT (before VIC test) there was a shed load of welding that needed doing and my son decided to get another car so the project was abandoned. The car has had 2 brand new tyres fitted and also 2 brand new tyres in the boot (not on rims), the other 2 tyres on the car are excellent and so is the spare, so 7 good tyres, 4 of them brand new (all buget tyres). The car is complete and drivable (recent battery fitted as well) the car still had 6 months MOT on it when it was written off. Need to sell as wife wants it off the drive. Would anyone like to make a reasonable offer?
