JAE 08 Meet…… Only a few Weeks left, …..Mersea Island
JAE has long been a fantastic Meet organised for all Japanese owners to meet chat and have fun together.. from our own point of view 100nxc has been an attendee since 2003, only a few months after our move from google groups to our own domain and club. In that time it has grown and grown from outgrowing the available space at Billing Aquadrome, to East of England showgrounds and now to Mersea Island.. Many many thanks to Steve, Claire and John for all your efforts now and in the past on our behalf.
100NXC 08
Crickhowell: The first ever 100NXC weekend meet.
The location: Park Farm, Llangattock, Crickhowell, near Abergavenny.
And what a location, The camp site hidden away in the lovely village of Llangattock and is one that I personally will return to. While not one of our biggest meets, with many I suspect holding off for JAE. It was a fantastic meet with old and new members turning up to enjoy good company, NX chat, fantastic food as provided by Dave and Jan.
The Saturday spin guided by Chris took us on a fantastic trip through the Welsh hills stopping for pictures, icecream and not to mention refreshments along the way. The sight of the NX’s cruising through the area did turn many a head, words cannot really describe the beauty or the sheer fun of these roads, with national park, the cruise alongside the resevoir, the avoidance of sheep who just did not seem to appreciate that there was an NX meet in progress, you know I could go on and on but two words sum it up best .. JAW DROPPING.. .. As night fell our newly acquired club firepit was ignited and meriment went into the early hours of the morning. This is a meet that will be fondly remembered by those that attended.
Even on the sunday there was a slowness to depart and saving those who were unable, the majority made their appearance on the M4 cruising together until Swindon.. so if we slowed you down appologies this was due to the caravan in tow that was part of our small grouping. I would like to say a word of thanks to all that attended and look forward all again soon.

100NXC Meets 2007
While many of the meets though out the year have not been fully planned. Currently There will be a meet down Chichester way towards the end of January.. We are also Organising a 100nx only meet .. due to peoples schedules we are pushing this out for another time . This will serve as the Birthday party and I suspect our 5th one and also Bring Strong memories back for those of us who Remember the Early days of the Club and JAE which was one of our First Meets.
Speaking of JAE this will be occuring on the weekend of the 21st – 22nd of July and I am assured that the success that 06 was will only be built upon.. For those that dont know what JAE is well here is some Spiel from their own mouths … JAE is the largest family orientated, Japanese Friendly get together outside of Japan. In 2006 over teh two days, 18000 people visited the event with nearly 4,000 show cars. Just imagine some 75 acres of Japanese Motors, Clubs from Ireland, Luxembourg, Belgium, France and a huge showing…
Do Feel Free to browse through the last few years Meet writeups by the respective organisers. Not to mention the excellent pictures of Past meets and also other meets as seen on the Club Album
First 2 Meets are over us, we hope you enjoy the writeups. Write up will appear here after each Meet

A few club members suggested that a meet in Oxfordshire would be a good thing. Somehow I found myself organising it! Cowleaze Wood Country Park, close to the Buckinghamshire border, seemed ideal it being close to the M40 motorway. The OX NX 07 road signs were put up all the way from the M40. The weather was brilliant.
We had 7 club members there although Bones hitched a ride with Roller (navigating he called it!). Yossa and Honey came done from Telford, AlexNX and girlfriend from the bottom end of Somerset. Funkykebab aka Matt cruised up from London and Jane managed to find us all the way from Chichester. Chris had only about 10 miles to travel.
Scott and Dan who first thought of the meet were unable to be with us due to work etc. We were delighted when another NX turned up unannounced, Packopeas and his son from Milton Keynes. Chris set to with burgers, coffee and doughnuts for all.
We all chatted the strange language of NX! Bones is incredibly fluent in the technical phrases! Bonnets were opened, information swapped. A visit from the local police was welcomed! None of the ‘ello, ‘ello, ‘ello, what do we ‘ave ‘ere! Just two of Thames Valley’s attractive young WPCs to warn of car thefts from the picnic area. One of them seemed quite knowledgeable on Nissans too. Time flew, we made new friends and greeted old ones. Great to put names to faces too. Everyone said we must do it again.

Another Irish meet is over us .. Another great get together .. Friday was the arrival for many .. With the first nx arriving at 4 and everyone else arrived as the night went on.. Stevegb arrived with The Mask after experiencing Irish hospitality spending an overnighter with The Masks family in Cork.
Due to the fact that we had a photo shoot organised with Brian Mordaunt and Son for 9:30 am on the Saturday it was decided that the celebrations of getting together would be curtailed so naturally we all stayed up in to the wee hours catching up and getting to know new members..
Kishada as is the norm now for his trips to Ireland experienced Irish Flying UFOS with flying road grit shattering his rear quarter panel.. luckily the nx quarter panels shatter rather than break and a quick fix was put in place for his return Journey.. Saturday morning started with a trip to Mordaunts for our photo shoot .. something we have to publicly send many thanks for their hospitality in putting up with us and allowing us control of their forecourt. After which we went to Hearn’s hotel home of Bianconi Coaches. It was then decided that trip around the locality was then in order. So off to Cahir for more pics .. stopping at Cahir Castle home of the Ormond Family in the area. and then onto Cashel, stopping at the Rock, the coronation site of the Kings of Munster.. It was then suggested that we go to the Vee for even more pictures and it was there that our merry band of NXrs experienced something strange .. Exercise with a walk down to the Lake. This naturally sent most of us into a state of exhaustion so after a quick stop at a local hostelry, we made it back to base..
There the tools were taken out and work was started .. the primary project for this weekend was The Masks migration from manual to electric windows.. The transfer went pretty smoothly the addition of poppers on the doors was more of an adventure, but I am reliably informed we will have a write-up on this in the near future. Mickey experienced that the use of non oem ht leads is not always the best with the tips being left around the sparks on their removal. It took 3 of us to remove one quarter panel with out damaging it .. you really have to admire the glue Nissan used on these .. not a job for the faint of heart. Some of the cars were checked for the dreaded turret rust and as night fell Angelblue came in to her own with a fantastic bar-be for all to enjoy .. granted night time went in to nearly dawn .. with us all sitting around a campfire chatting..
Sunday was rest time .. unfortunately Kishada and Norma had gotten times mixed up and had to depart early in the morning. But after another superb grub up by Angelblue and Bluewind work on the door poppers was restarted, while Bluewind’s nx was checked out after its recent accident.. thankfully it does appear from what we could see to be only superficial.
All in all a great meet .. always good to meet fellow enthusiasts with that extra bit of time to help each other out …

Well what a flying start to the new year 0f 2007, a nice sum of 8 turned up, it all started when i went to meet James from Emsworth we then passed Joe on the way. So all cruised along to Chichester gates (where we meet) and met up with Alex, Matt and Craig… we then took some pics, waited for Nigel + Dave to turn up. Naturally when they did, we took more pics and went to grab a mcds! We then cruised up to goodwood and took some more pics and more chatting, then we cruised to a Bognor pub where we had a few games of pool and a drink!! I have to say James beat me, and several others before getting beaten by Dave who also beat me!!
Matt then asked whats next so I took the guys to Bognor beach, parked up near by (after shredding some rubber!) and we went to the arcades! Dave’s song got glued to the 2p machine while everyone was playing racing car games, by then it was 5pm so we decided to say our goodbyes, Craig went first, then Nigel after it seemed he found a leak in his engine!! Oh dear, then the others went, followed by myself and Joe, all in all a great meet, thank you to everyone that came, i think next meet we should go paintballing – something fun and different!!
cheers, Jane
